Royal Alberta Museum

The spectacular new Royal Alberta Museum in Edmonton, Alberta is the largest museum in Western Canada. Cortina Productions designed and produced 26 interactive exhibits and five films that help tell the unique stories of Alberta’s people and natural environment. The new museum has a wide variety of media experiences that range from gesture-based sand and glacier tables to in-depth species explorers and animated films. Some project highlights include Pronghorn Hunt, a film told in stylized animation and inspired by aboriginal rock art, that reveals the remarkable method by which peoples who once inhabited present-day Alberta hunted pronghorns; Time and Tools, a touchscreen interactive, highlights prehistoric tools and the archaeological methods used to discover them; and Rock Art, an interactive touchscreen with wall projection, explores the fascinating rock art discovered throughout Alberta.
